Laura:
Thank your for you delightful description of how necessary it is for women to use a voice that we recognize as one of authority when requesting assistance. It is true that we have an innate ability to shut out that wonderful, natural female sound in almost all matters of life unless it is coaxing us toward the consummation of a relationship.
Once our attention is achieved with the voice of authority, we find that it is possessed such energy that, of course, we must respond with a "you don't have to shout, just ask." What could be more logical?
There are other avenues to attract our attention but when they are used we simply become confused and unsure of our relationship with that fair sex. "What do you mean, I don't pay enough attention to you?"
Such a delightful and stressful relationship we have together.
