My SO went downstairs on Monday a.m. and said, "Honey, what's with your
stupid computer?" This is something he says often because he doesn't always
get the subtleties of computer usage - it's usually something pretty simple.
So I went downstairs and no power! I pushed the button and no connection - I
couldn't figure it out for love or money. So I've been spending the week at
the library and Kinko's checking e-mail and waiting for the repair people to
come and put in a new power supply.

Last night I went downstairs, looked at the PC and leaned on the case.
Suddenly something clicked into place - so I hit the power and here I am.
Somehow the case came detached. Don't ask me how. So now I need to call and
tell the repair guy not to come (for that - they still need to put in a new
modem).

Anyway, I'm back. Doing the alto solos in a concert tonight and tomorrow -
excerpts from the Messiah and the Christmas Oratorio - and that's pretty much
it for me until Christmas Eve at my church job. The main thing I have to do
this week is figure out the grades for my German Diction class. That is the
main thing I dislike about teaching - I just HATE doing grades!!!
