Hello Oshea. You did not say where you are from or what type of music you
enjoy. I sing a variety of things but I love Broadway. One piece that I
started with and everyone still loves is "How Are Things In Glocca Mora"
from Finian's Rainbow. You can almost always sing any of the old standards
by Gershwin, Rogers and Hart, Cole Porter, Rogers and Hammerstein. You can
look in music stores but I have spent so much money doing that - like a
child being let loose in a candy store. In the U.S., some of the bigger
cities have large libraries that have loads of music. You can browse
through their music and see what you like. Also, ask your voice teacher for
ideas. Some teachers can also transpose a song you like to a higher or
lower key but not everyone can do that. It is a great help. Good luck.
