Vocalist,

Recently I have enjoyed singing Dido's Lament, "When I am Laid in Earth,"
and a lot of my friends who had previously found Purcell dull and hard to
listen to, were happy to hear such a moving, expressive aria.

Can anyone think of other songs/arias by Purcell that might be equally as
emotionally moving as Dido's lament?? I am thrilled that other people
through me, are getting into Purcell, because I think he is great! Now I am
just checking out other rep that might be possibly as interesting.

Thanks for any ideas, and apologies if this query makes no sense
whatsoever....
