Here are the things I found that are bad for my voice:

1) The "special sauce" on Big Macs.
2) Fighting with my faithful Indian companion.
3) Overseas calls with poor connections.
4) Sitting on an airplane next to an unfortunate man with a cold. (That's
right, I caught it from him.)
5) Using my voice as a defensive weapon (causes most muggers to flee in
fright).

Other than that, I would say that the one hard-and-fast rule is: IF IT
HURTS, IT'S BAD FOR YOUR VOICE.
