Dear List,
I have been a professional singer, making my living in my field for almost 20
years, who at times throughout the year experiences vocal fatigue. I have a
demanding position which requires much of me most of the time. I am not and
never have been one of those fortunate people who can sing and sing and sing
and not get vocally tired.

Because of the competitive nature of our "business" it is not often that
people will be honest enough to share their experience with vocal fatigue.
Perhaps we feel that if we become fatigued from singing then somehow we are
not good at what we do.

I would like to hear from people who are willing to be honest. Do you get
tired? If so, how much does it take for you to get that way? What do you do
for yourself when you are going through a period of vocal fatigue?
