I also take 2 calcium tablets a day (500mg each), on the recommendation of my gynecologist, which, besides the osteoporosis prevention benefit, I also read helps with PMS symptoms. I have severe PMS symptoms and an exhausting first 2-3 days, but I've found my voice is okay as long as I rest and drink lots (like 3 quarts a day) of water (I teach a lot of voice lessons).
