That's pretty funny....

I always "offer" to make suggestions, and this usually goes over well. I've actually been quite "fortunate" in that I have a lot of cousins getting married these days. They tend to give me free reign--I establish certain criteria, then make sure everything is OKed by them. Usually I offer up
2-3 choices and they choose. This works well, since I limit my "offerings" to what I consider worthy (and I have good fun planning, since there are a couple other musicians in the family as well)...
The "unfortunate" part of this arrangement is that these relatives don't all fully appreciate the value of my efforts. I'm not sure they always realize that if I'm not charging, this is their gift!!
