What's to explain? You quack like a duck, squawk like a parrot, caw like a crow, cackle like a witch. Do it and you will get the idea. I.e., you will see what happens in your own voice. Believe me, you'll have to demonstrate with confidence in order to convince your students to make such weird sounds. And it takes a long time for them to figure out that they are connected with good singing! :)
