List,

Have any of you folks used IEMs (In Ear Monitors)?

I have been doing a slew of research on them, like the idea, but am finding
that it takes a boatload of money and an actual human addition to my
entourage (a mixer) to make the investment worthwhile.

I sing in numerous clubs in Los Angeles, not all of them have excellent
monitors, and one can't play exclusively at the Viper Room (where the sound
is dreamy) - soooo I'm taking steps to make myself comfortable (and my pitch
consistent) in any situation.

Any experiences or knowledge that you could share would be helpful.
