Hi all-

I'm having surgery to correct a deviated septum condition soon. I have
followed the topic on the listserv in the past. Could anyone share their
experience regarding how long they had to lay off of singing after having
their septum repaired? I know ultimately it will depend on what my doctor
says regarding how fast he thinks I am recovering (and I am using a surgeon
who is known for working with singers-I think he will be cautious and
protective of my voice). Nonetheless, I am interested in getting a general
idea of what others have experienced post-surgery when they returned to
singing. What was the time-frame and was there any pain upon resuming
singing?
