I don't. That is one of the reasons I used the quotes around the word "Added". I believe that most of the time it is involuntary although I have noted in some recent posts at least one individual that does it purposefully and others that have observed that a favorite singer's use of this might give them the sense that it is ok to try.
What I was observing was that in some singers the effect doesn't manifest itself all of the time. In some it appears only when the voice is under increased load.
