Hey Bebe! Are you new at studying voice? I am, and i often see the same
problem in my singing. It seems to me that my reflexive action in
performance is to immediately go back to pushing from the vocal chords
instead of letting the diaphragm and larynx placement do the work. I also
end up vocally tired that way, a lot. The only way I've been able to stop it
is to, as my voice teacher says, "stick to the plan"; in other words, resist
the natural impulse with your breath support and placement.
